Every location needs data.  The more you have, the better your location presents itself to your visitors.  Here’s a list of all fields that are in use within our locator system, with a description, example data and tips on how to utilize the field.

  • name
    The name of the location
    Example:  Walmart Supercenter #332
  • address1
    The main street address for the location
    Example:  123 Main St.
  • address2
    The extra address field for the location
    Example:  Suite 123
  • city
    The city name where the location resides
    Example:  Los Angeles
  • state
    The state where the location resides
    Example:  California  (use the full name spelled out)
  • zipcode
    The zip/postal code for the location
    Example:  90210
  • country
    The country where the location resides
    Example:  United States  (use the full name spelled out)
  • phone
    The phone number for the location
    Example:  949-232-0844
  • toll_free
    The toll free phone number for the location
    Example:  800-555-1212
  • fax
    The fax number for the location
    Example:  949-232-0845
  • email
    The email address for the location
    Example:  johndoe@domain.com
  • website
    The website address for the location
    Example:  www.google.com  (do not type in the http:// part)
  • contact_name
    The name of the person who is the main contact
    Example:  Sally Jones
  • contact_title
    The job title for the main contact
    Example:  Manager
  • icon
    The filename of the icon graphic.
    Example:  icon22.png  (note:  The image must be on our server to use.  You must add/edit a location in your control panel to get the image on our server first)
    Recommended size is 50×50 pixels
  • image
    The filename of the image graphic
    Example:  image29.png  (note:  The image must be on our server to use.  You must add/edit a location in your control panel to get the image on our server first)
    Recommended size is 250×170 pixels
  • latitude
    The latitude coordinates for a location.  Leave blank if you don’t know and then geocode the location once it’s loaded in your system
    Example:  39.8282
  • longitude
    The longitude coordinates for a location.  Leave blank if you don’t know and then geocode the location once it’s loaded in your system
    Example:  -98.5795

 

  • owner_email
    The email address of the person who ownes the record.  If you have the User Login Plugin active, this email will have access to the record for editing purposes.
    Example:  steve@dealer.com
  • online_store
    1 or 0.  Put 1 if you wish for this location to be included in the Online Stores list.
    Example:  1
  • categories
    After setting up Categories in your locator system, use the auto-assigned Category ID to assign this location to a category.
    Example:  1|2|3   will assign this location to category 1, 2 and 3
    Format is:  CatID_1|CatID_2|CatID_3    Can be none, one, two or more IDs separated by a pipe character.  More about Categories…
  • hits
    The number of times this location has been viewed by a visitor
    Example:  104
  • rank
    Any number between 1 and 10.  1 is the highest.  10 is the lowest.  Matches to the search query will present locations according to their rank number.
    Example:  10
    Tip:  We recommend you use the number 10, for all locations, except for the few special locations that you always want to rise to the top of search results.
  • custom_fields
    After setting up User Fields in your locator system, enter the Field Name and Value, like this:
    Example:  Color=Blue&&Size=Large&&Coupon Code=Save10Bucks
    Tip:  You’ll need to enter the Field Name and the Field value for each user Field.  Like this:  Name=Value    And separate each User Field with a double ampersand “&&” as a separator.  More about User Fields…
  • products    (This is a Plugin Field)
    After setting up all your Products in your locator system, Lets you assign products to the location, by entering the product info.
    Example:  Cool Shirt|1234|shirt.png|99|425
    Format:  Name|SKU|Image|Qty|Product_ID
    Tip:  To enter multiple products, you will separate each with a double ampersand “&&”.  Like this:  Name1|SKU1|Image1|Qty1|Product_ID1&&Name2|SKU2|Image2|Qty2|Product_ID2
    Tip:  You can leave the QTY field blank or enter 0, and this field will not display.
  • store_hours    (This is a Plugin Field)
    If you have the Store Hours Plugin, you can enter operating hours for the location
    Example:  Monday-Friday|8:00 am – 5:00 pm&&Saturday – Sunday|10:00 am – 5:00 pm
    Format:  Day|hours
    Tip:  To enter multiple days/hour combinations, you will separate each with a double ampersand “&&”.  Like this:  Monday-Friday|8:00 am – 5:00 pm&&Saturday – Sunday|10:00 am – 5:00 pm
  •  five_star_rating    (This is a Plugin Field)
    If you have the 5 Star Ratings Plugin, you can enter the overall rating score for your location.
    Example:  4.5
    Format:  Any number between 0.0 and 5.0
  • active
    1 or 0.  Use a 1 if you want this location to be active in the system.  Use a 0 if you want to disable it and hide it.
    Example:  1
  • prefered
    1 or 0.  Use a 1 if you want this location to be a Preferred location.  Preferred locations can have a special color background and also get a heart graphic.
    Example:  1
  • approved
    1 or 0.  If you have the User Login Plugin, your users can propose new locations to your locator.  This field will either approve visitor added locators or disable them.
    Example:  1
  • user_added
    1 or 0.  If you have the User Login Plugin, this would indicate if the location was added by a visitor or not.  1 for yes, 0 for no.
    Example:  1
